I spent last night DL'ing Age of Conan, as did Jakjak. We let go of Aion because the server managers made the Abyss pretty much unplayable.
We plan on making some little newbie toons, and farting around. Should anyone care to join us, just shoot me a PM, and I'll update you on where we are and what we're rollin!

Admit it. You will be back to WoW. Nothing else really comes close. Why do you keep settling for Methadone, when you could have the real thing?

Maybe for Cata, certainly not before. I still can't honestly commit to a raiding schedule. I wish I could, but I can't.
There are still some of the old things in WoW that still exist, and still would drive me nuts.
10 man normal/heroic, and a 25 normal/heroic of the same thing, on a weekly timer. Gear is way too easy to come by. I've actually grown used to grinding stuff out, Aion might have been extreme, but I loved a lot about it. Crafting system in particular. Proc crafting, gear enhancement is a little goofy, but still pretty understandable once you get how it works. Quest reward gear set was seriously amazing, but no joke to get either. I enjoyed that. If you craft, you have to drop materials on these master crafters for patterns, and it takes an incredible amount to get them all (never heard of such a thing honestly), but those patterns are BEYOND amazing, and very valuable to craft, if you know them.
Just stuff like that, I like the grind (to a point, Aion boss drops were pretty low, until Dark Poeta at least. Then they were acceptable. For now, I'm going to a new game. I heard AoC blew nuts, but then the Exp hit in may and I've heard WONDERFUL things about that. I'm gonna give it a look. See if it will tide me over until GW2 hits. Then see if I can play that until I catch SWTOK, then that until WoW2, etc etc.
I'll stay in touch in case any of you other social dorks want to come visit and tinker around with me.

I play SC2. Given that we have more Koreans than just about any private school in existence, I'm thinking I should start a team. I wonder if we'd get a banner in the field house for that...

If I wanted to pay another $15 a month I'd be playing Warhammer Online while not raiding. That game was baller as hell and they took care of pretty much every issue I had with the game 2 weeks after I stopped paying for it.

Early views. Interesting. There's a night/day mode where night means you're going solo for your quests, and daytime is for all grouping.
You can set dungeons to normal or epic. Combat is actually pretty damned cool. The fatality stuff is pretty amazing to be honest.
I'm happy with it to this point. Very entertaining.

I don't see how you could enjoy playing that game at 40 for any extended period of time.
